On Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 12:55 a.m. Brick Police responded to Windsor Road for a suspicious person attempting to enter parked motor vehicles.  Ptl. Scott Mesmer responded to the area and quickly located a suspect who matched the description provided by the caller, police said. Jersey Shore Man Arrested With Child Pornography On 21 Electronic Devices: Police A 45-year-old man from Brick Township had more than 1,000 child pornography images and video on 21 electronic devices seized at his home, authorities said. Brett Gerundo was charged with endangering the welfare of children, Brick police said on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Detectives responded to a tip and made a warranted search of Gerundo’s home on Oct. 2, they said. He surrendered himself on Nov. 3 and was taken to Ocean County Jail, police said.

Car Crashes Into 7-Eleven On Jersey Shore A car smashed into a 7-Eleven shop in Brick Township, authorities said. At 10:24 a.m. on Monday, July 10th, Brick police received a call that a vehicle had crashed into the store located at 1151 Burnt Tavern Road, a one-story, commercial building on the corner of Burnt Tavern Road and Burrsville Road. The driver, 58-year-old Mary O’Brien from Howell, accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake as she was pulling into a parking space in front of the store, police said. Jersey Shore Man Arrested In Road Rage Incident: Police A 24-year-old driver from Point Pleasant was arrested in connection with a road rage incident and fleeing Brick police, authorities said. Jonathan Weydig was arrested with the assistance of Point Pleasant police, according to Brick police. Weydig had six outstanding warrants and was charged with eluding officers, obstruction and hindering apprehension, police said. Weydig also was issued 12 motor vehicle summonses, they said. On Thursday evening, May 4, Brick police said they had received a call from a resident on Mantoloking Road requesting police assistance for "an excessive number of cats inside the residence." Morgan Murphy observed an erratic driver on Brick Boulevard. Murphy initiated a motor vehicle stop for failure to maintain lane and use of a cell phone while driving.
