On Monday, Aug. 7 at approximately 12:40 a.m., on Chews Landing Road, a driver lost control and entered the opposite lane of travel. The vehicle continued into a stop sign then into the parking lot of Gloucester Township Police Headquarters where it struck a parked, unoccupied unmarked police car and came to rest partially on a tree, police said. Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation Of ShopRite, Camden Shopping Center A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of a Camden County shopping center, authorities said.  The scare began about 5:20 p.m. on Thursday when a caller threatened that a ShopRite supermarket on the 1200 block of Chews Landing Road was "going to blow up," according to Gloucester Township police. Police officers began to evacuate the supermarket, then expanded the precaution to surrounding businesses in the Market Place Shopping Center, they said.
