Yelitza Rivera, 16, of Trenton, NJ sustained fatal injuries, according to state police.
The fatal crash occurred near Exit 3B of I-195 westbound in Hamilton Township at 6:39 p.m., police said. A Mitsubishi Galant left the highway and overturned, state police said.
All three of the car’s occupants were taken to Capital Health in Hamilton where Rivera was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the Mitsubihshi, Karla Sanchez, 22, of Trenton was hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.
A second passenger, a 16-year-old girl from Hamilton Township, sustained moderate injuries, police said.
No other details were released. The one-car crash remains under investigation.
