Bicyclist, 47, Dies After Being Struck On Route 9W
Jake Kim, a 47-year-old Englewood resident was killed after his bicycle was truck by a vehicle on Wednesday morning, June 19, according to a fundraiser created to assist his family. As of Thursday, June 27, more than $12,000 has been raised. "The famous 9W leaving from Fort Lee, will no longer feel the same without him," Jang won Woo, who organized the fundraiser said." E-Bike Operator Hospitalized With Head Trauma In Bergen County Crash
The operator of an electric bicycle was hospitalized in an early-morning Fairview crash Thursday, June 20, police said. The man appears to have tried to pass a landscaping truck while heading west on Fairview Avenue when he was struck by an eastbound motorist around 7:40 a.m., Deputy Chief John Pierotti said. He was rushed to HMH Hackensack University Medical Center with head trauma, Pierotti said. The crash remains under investigation.

Ejection, House Struck In Horrific Maywood Crash
An occupant was ejected when one SUV hit a house and another a utility pole in a fierce collision in Maywood, authorities said. One of the vehicles was knocked onto its side in the crash at the corner of East Passaic and Elm streets around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16. Staten Island Motorcyclist, 27, Killed In Route 287 Crash
A 27-year-old motorcyclist from Staten Island died in a weekend crash on Route 287 in Somerset County, authorities said. Durmish Golesh was heading north on a Kawasaki when he rear-ended a Hyundai, overturned, and struck the back of an Infiniti around 11:25 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 in Far Hills, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Golesh was thrown from the bike and died, Lebron said. No other injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.

Authorities have released more information about a fatal crash on a busy New York road that left a New Jersey man dead. Peter Leist, 62, of Denville, NJ was heading west on Route 301 in Carmel, NY, when he crossed over the double yellow lines to pass a few vehicles and collided head-on with a small bus, around 2:10 p.m. Friday, May 31, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.
