Trio Arrested For Sexual Assaults Across Bergen County, Two Involving Children: Prosecutor

A trio of Bergen County men were arrested in a string of sexual assaults dating back to 2023, authorities announced Monday, March 10.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said that Carlos L. Sibri, 33, of Hackensack; Jonathan E. Rodriguez, 35, of Englewood; and Hector R. Estrada Roca, 37, of Teaneck, have all been lodged in the county jail.

The following information was released by Musella:

Sibri was arrested on Friday, March 7, and charged with aggravated sexual assault and attempted aggravated sexual assault. His arrest was the result of an investigation dating back to Dec. 17, 2023, when Hackensack University Medical Center contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Hackensack Police Department regarding a patient who arrived at the hospital seeking medical care after an alleged sexual assault. After months of continuous investigation, detectives determined that Sibri sexually assaulted the victim in Hackensack, NJ between Dec. 16, 2023, and Dec. 17, 2023.

Rodriguez was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. On Friday, March 7, the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged incident of sexual assault that previously occurred in Dumont. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Dumont Police Department revealed that Rodriguez sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen in Dumont.

Roca was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. On Friday, March 7, the Teaneck Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault of a child that occurred in the past. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cliffside Park Police Department revealed that Roca sexually assaulted and endangered a child younger than thirteen in Cliffside Park on multiple occasions between 2021 to 2023. Roca was arrested Friday, March 7 in Paramus.

All three men were lodged in the Bergen County Jail.
