Box Truck Being Towed Tips Beneath Route 80 Overpass A box truck tipped while being towed beneath a Route 80 overpass in Elmwood Park, jamming area traffic early Friday afternoon. Another tow was needed to straighten and remove the truck owned by Salerno's Custom Cabinetry in Saddle Brook from the corner of River Road and Market Street shortly after 1 p.m. No injuries were reported. Stalker: Saddle Brook Man, 58, Charged With Secretly Tracking Ex From Lyndhurst, 33 A 58-year-old Saddle Brook resident who'd dated a Lyndhurst woman 25 years his junior hid a GPS tracking device on her SUV. Lyndhurst Police Detective Chris Cuneo obtained and reviewed surveillance video after the 33-year-old woman found the device on her Range Rover and called police earlier this month, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said on Wednesday, June 21. Cuneo identified Jesus Martinez as the culprit, the lieutenant said. Martinez was charged with stalking and released pending court action, he said.

Dog Rescued In Saddle Brook Fire A house fire was extinguished Wednesday afternoon in Saddle Brook. A dog was rescued as Saddle Brook firefighters doused a basement blaze on Elm Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. April 26. Two people also were reportedly treated for smoke inhalation.
