The victim, meanwhile, was taken by ambulance to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with injuries that Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said weren’t considered life-threatening. A 74-year-old Paterson resident was driving the 2013 Honda Civic that struck the 27-year-old worker from Sussex on quiet Pomona Avenue shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, Police Sgt. No injuries were immediately reported in the moments after the two-alarm fire broke out in the single-story Pomona Avenue residence shortly after 11 a.m. “The fire was in the rear of the house and spreading," Fair Lawn Fire Chief Thomas Carney said. "We made an aggressive attack inside the house but due to the heavy fire and heat, the firefighters had difficultly locating access to the attic."
