Through the use of “pin-mapping,“ visitors can view the last known whereabouts of Bergen County fugitives — a first for New Jersey.
“The ‘Facecrook’ system gives the public the opportunity to get off the sidelines and into the game in a safe manner,“ the sheriff said.
“These fugitives live in our communities,” he added. “People see them and are none the wiser that they are wanted individuals. ‘Facecrook’ gives the public information on what these fugitives look like and data on where they might be living or working.

“It also offers an anonymous tip option to alert law enforcement if you believe you have spotted one of these fugitives.“
The page is linked to the BCSO’s records management system, known as CODY. As a result, information is constantly updated and provided in real time.
Users can search for fugitives by name, street address, town and ZIP code. The finder then creates a map with pins showing the subject’s last known address.
At the end of the month, BCSO Inspector Mickey Bradley will present the new “Facecrook“ application to the Law Enforcement Technical Institute (LETI) in Annapolis, Md.
