Two Dead After Suicidal Man Jumps From Building, Lands On Victim In NY
Two men were dead after one of them jumped from the top of a building, landing on top of the other below overnight in Westchester County, NY. The incident took place around 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 20 at 77 Locust Hill Ave., in Yonkers. A distraught 25-year-old man jumped off the roof of the building, falling 12 stories onto the concrete parking garage roof below and striking a 61-year-old man; both men died at the scene, Yonkers police said. A 38-year-old man pleaded guilty to drunk driving and vehicular homicide in a hit-and-run crash on the Garden State Parkway that killed a man exchanging insurance information with another driver after a minor crash last year. A 29-year-old Paramus man died while racing his motorcycle on I-87 in Westchester County, NY, authorities said. Frank Mahouti was heading northbound on a 2018 Ducati near mile marker 3.5 in Yonkers when he failed to negotiate a curve at a high rate of speed around 1 a.m. Aug. 13, NY State Trooper Tara McCormick said.
