Authorities have charged a 66-year-old Bayonne man with a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian at the corner of Kennedy Boulevard and Communipaw Avenue in Jersey City nearly a year ago. Rey Rosario was charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and endangering an injured victim, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Tuesday, Jan. 9. A motorist literally made an impression that helped Glen Rock police crack a hit-and-run crash that injured another driver, authorities said. A 48-year-old borough man had stopped for a pedestrian in a crosswalk on Rock Road just east of Main Street when his 2012 Honda Accord was rear-ended by a black Jeep that fled the scene, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. A horse was killed and its 14-year-old rider hurt in a hit-and-run crash in Gloucester County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 on Monroeville Road in Franklin Township, police said. A girl from Sicklerville was riding along the westbound shoulder when they were struck by an unidentified older-model, light-colored pickup truck, police said. New Jersey State Police seek the public’s help with a fatal hit-and-run crash on the Garden State Parkway that killed a 31-year-old pedestrian from Elizabeth last week. A tractor-trailer driver from Newark was extradited to New York and charged with a hit-and-run crash on the New York State Thruway that killed two people. A car slid under his rig when Quentin D. Campbell, 55, made an illegal U-turn in the Monroe County town of Wheatland, just west of Rochester, around 4:15 a.m. Sept. 4, New York State Police reported.
