47-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed In Prince George’s County: Police
A 47-year-old man was shot and killed in Prince George’s County over the weekend, police said. Darryl Hazel, of Suitland, was found wounded from gunfire as officers responded to the shooting report near the 6300 block of Suitland Road in Camp Springs around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, April 7, PGPD said. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s) but do not believe the crime was random. Fallen Tree Damages 3 Montgomery County Homes, Several People Displaced
Several people were displaced when a large tree fell and damaged three homes in Montgomery County on Thursday, April 4, responders said. It happened on Cedar Avenue near Dogwood Avenue off Philadelphia Avenue in Takoma Park around 4 p.m., according to MCRFS Spokesperson Pete Piringer. Idongesit Udosen, 30, was found with gunshot wounds in the roadway as officers were called to the 6800 block of Greenvale Parkway in Hyattsville for a shooting around 3:40 p.m., the PGPD said. Police are investigating a robbery involving four armed suspects at a parking garage in Montgomery County. It happened at a garage on the 11800 block of Grand Park Avenue around 10:45 p.m. Thursday, April 4, Montgomery County police told Daily Voice.
