Body found on banks of Passaic in Lyndhurst

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 49-year-old North Arlington woman died while sitting on the banks of the Passaic River in Lyndhurst, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has learned.

Detectives from Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli’s Homicide Unit, along with crime-scene investigators from county Sheriff Leo McGuire’s Bureau of Criminal Identification and the Bergen County Police, went to the Riverside County Park to investigate after the body was found early Sunday.

Although the death doesn’t appear suspicious, authorities said an autopsy will be conducted by the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.
