Bergenfield PD: Repeat Ex-Con With Medical Emergency Caught Carrying Stolen Gun What began as a medical emergency at a local Taco Bell ended with the arrest of a Florida ex-con with an extensive criminal history who asked a Bergenfield police officer to watch what turned out to be a stolen gun for him, authorities said. Michael Kanzer, 49, formerly of Rutherford, told Officer Gregory Slater that he needed to go to the hospital for an unspecified reason after the officer responded to the Washington Avenue eatery, Detective Lt.
