Jersey City Man Gets 18 Years in Prison For Fatal Stabbing: Prosecutors Steven Bardsley, a 57-year-old Jersey City resident, was sentenced to 18 years in state prison on Friday, June 9 for fatally stabbing a man in the neck in July 2021, authorities said. On July 24, 2021, Jersey City Police responded to 151 Cambridge Ave. where they found Steven Bochman stabbed in the neck, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he was soon pronounced dead, Suarez said. Bardsley had pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated manslaughter back in March, Suarez said. Jersey City Man Charged With Murder In Weekend Stabbing, Prosecutor Says A 55-year-old man was charged with murder in a stabbing that left an unidentified man dead over the weekend, authorities said. Steven Bardsley stabbed the man in the neck near 151 Cambridge Ave., just after 10 p.m. Saturday, July 24, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The victim was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner.
