Seen Them? Warrants Issued For Accused Newark Robbers Authorities in Newark have issued warrants for the arrests of several individuals wanted in robberies that occurred last year. According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose, the following people are being sought: Sameerah Ward, 42, of East Orange: wanted for an armed robbery that occurred on Oct. 11, 2020 at the Tryp Hotel, 24 E. Park Street in Newark. Ward, along with two other suspects, robbed a guest of the hotel of his personal property at gunpoint. Fatal Daylight Shooting In Newark Under Investigation The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into a shooting Friday that claimed the life of a Newark man.  Shaquan Hatcher-Turner, 30, was shot in the 300 block of South 19th Street around 3 p.m. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital about a half-hour later.  The investigation is active and ongoing.
