Teen Charged In Fatal Jersey City Shooting Of 25-Year-Old Man Sylis Lopez, an 18-year-old Union City teenager was arrested and charged on Tuesday, August 22 as an accomplice in the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old Jersey City man back in January, authorities said. At 9:35 p.m. on Jan. 29, Jersey City police responded to a report of shots fired at Summit Avenue and Polar Street, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Police found Rafael Gomez with a gunshot wound to the torso, Suarez said. Gomez was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Suarez said. 25-Year-Old Man Gunned Down In Jersey City A 25-year-old man was fatally shot in Jersey City, authorities said.
