Fleeing Shoplifter In Bayonne Drags Person On Scooter, Hits Police Car: Police A shoplifter struck a pedestrian and a police car while trying to make her escape from the Bayonne Walmart Sunday, police said.  Siedah Smith, 34, of Jersey City loaded up a shopping cart with more than $230 worth of merchandise and left it in the self-checkout lane around 4 p.m., according to store security. She left the store, found a receipt on the ground and retrieved the shopping cart without paying. Nutley Police Officer OK After Fleeing Newark Driver Hits Him: Police A Nutley police officer suffered minor injuries to his arm when a Newark motorist struck him with her vehicle July 6, the department said in a statement.  Police approached a suspicious vehicle driven by Shanoa Glover, 30, on Franklin Avenue. Glover hit the officer when she fled from the scene, according to police.  Police briefly chased her but broke off the pursuit. Bayonne Man, 65, Pulled Gun On Neighbor: Police An argument between neighbors last week escalated, resulting in an arrest Wednesday, Bayonne police said.  The two men, who know each other, began arguing in a common hallway of a multifamily home Saturday morning. One of them, Gerald Ponce, 65, returned to his apartment during the dispute and came back out with a .38-caliber revolver, which Ponce allegedly pointed at the other man. No one was hurt.  Ponce has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was being held at the Hudson County Jail.
