Parking Just Got Easier In West New York It just became easier to park in West New York. The Hudson County town recently celebrated the grand opening of a newly-constructed parking deck at 51st Street, adding 500 new parking spaces.  The deck was financed through almost $12 million in municipal bonds and funding from the American Rescue Act. The town is also planning parking decks on 57th and 67th Streets. Tops Diner In E. Newark To Close For Expansion: Report Tops Diner, an East Newark staple for generations, is slated to close for up to six weeks for an expansion that will triple the size of the eatery, News 12 New Jersey reported.  Plans were filed with Hudson County a few months ago but a spokeswoman for the Passaic Avenue restaurant declined to say when construction would actually begin when reached by Daily Voice at the time.  The start date for construction was still not known as of this week, News 12 reported.  Along with the additional room inside, there will be more room for parking, with an extra 35 spaces planned. Check Out This Parking Job: Mercedes Drives Over Toyota At Paramus Mall Video footage of a car that drove on top of another in Paramus has gone viral. "Parking in New Jersey is a dead a** sport," said Max Zavian, who posted a video of Tuesday's incident at Bergen Town Center to Twitter. Zavian said he heard the noise and turned around to see a Mercedes on top of a Toyota sedan. The video garnered more than 97,000 views as of Wednesday afternoon. Chris Feinthel commented on the video saying he used to play a game with a friend, sending photos of "ridiculous" parking jobs from around New Jersey. "Game is officially over," he said.
