Woman Missing In Newark: Police (Photo) A 79-year-old Newark woman was reported missing on Saturday, June 8, authorities said. Felisima Alvarez was last seen at noon heading northbound on North 7th Street toward 6th Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. Alvarez has been diagnosed with diabetes and memory loss, Fragé said. She speaks only Spanish, Fragé said. She is 5'3" and weighs 130 lbs. and was last seen wearing a long sleeve plaid shirt, blue jeans with an embroidering design on the back pants pocket, and gray, black, and white sneakers with her hair in a bun, Fragé said. Belleville Man Gunned Down In Newark A 38-year-old Belleville man was shot and killed this weekend in Newark, authorities said. Omar Rivera was shot on the 300 block of North 7th Street around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. He was taken to University Hospital and pronounced dead at 4 a.m. The investigation is active and ongoing. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office tips line at 1-877-TIPS-4EC or 1-877-847-7432. Calls will be kept confidential.

Bryan Olano was last seen on June 16 at approximately 9:30 p.m., on  the 300 block of North 7th Street, walking towards 4th Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said.
