'Selfish, Clownish': Mayor Slams Atlantic City Protest That Ended In 7 Arrests Seven protestors including the event's organizer were arrested during a Black Lives Matter march through Atlantic City streets, which the city's mayor called "selfish and clownish" after futile attempts to postpone it. Covid-19: Lights Out For Atlantic City Casinos Atlantic City casinos are among the latest victims of coronavirus. It's only the fifth time in the 42-year history of legalized gambling in Atlantic City that the casinos will be closed indefinitely due to a crisis.
