Water Slowly Returning For Hoboken Residents After Nearly 30 Hours Hoboken residents were just starting to get their water back on Tuesday evening, Feb. 28, nearly 30 hours after a 16-inch main broke on Monday, Feb. 27. Crews worked overnight and all day Tuesday to repair the main at Observer and Madison streets, and the city set up "water buffalos" for residents to stock up. These “water buffalos” are set up throughout @CityofHoboken. You have to bring your own containers to fill up.
