An EMS unit was the first to respond to 2:15 p.m. call at the Randolph Avenue residence in the Bergen-Lafayette section of the city on Sunday, Aug. 27, according to a release issued late Monday by New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin. The two Paterson police officers who were the last point of contact with a man before he went missing have been suspended from the force, according to the missing man's attorney. Officers Jacob Feliciano and Dodi Zorilla are off the job for 90 days without pay, after an internal affairs review found that they had violated at least 10 of the department's policies during an interaction with Felix DeJesus, 41, of Haledon, on Feb. 2, says Jeff Patti, a lawyer for DeJesus' family. UPDATE: Three weeks to the day that a Haledon man mysteriously went missing in Paterson, no one seems any closer to finding him. According to family members, Felix DeJesus was last seen around 6 p.m. Feb. 2 near a Union Avenue bodega. He’d been drinking quite a bit -- as he would often do, they said -- and apparently had been bothering a woman there, they said. Detectives from the Haledon Police Department’s Investigative and Special Services Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Haledon resident Felix DeJesus, who was reported missing by his family last week.
