Police in Newark are seeking the public’s help identifying a man they say stole a handgun and cash from a camper earlier this month. The man pictured above was caught on surveillance footage taking a handgun from its unsecured case in a camper on the 400 block of Wilson Avenue around 12:15 p.m. on June 6, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. The man then ran from the camper and onto the nearby railroad tracks, O’Hara said. The officer was patrolling 12th Avenue and South 9th Street when he approached a suspicious grey Honda CRV occupied by two men around 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F.
