16-Year-Old Killed, Two Injured In Newark Crash: Authorities A 16-year-old teenage boy was killed and two others injured after their stolen car collided with a garbage truck in Newark on Friday, Nov. 10, authorities said. At 4:32 a.m., police responded to Central Avenue and 1st Street on a report of the crash, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
