Edgar Rompich-Ramos, 19, carried out the alleged crimes at a local home in 2023, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Rompich-Ramos was arrested on Feb. 9 and charged with aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child/facilitating child sex abuse material, and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance. The State has filed a motion for detention in this matter, which is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 14.
