Two Tractor Trailers, Two Cars Collide On Route 80 (
Update
)
A crash involving two tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles closed a portion of Route 80 early Wednesday, Aug. 21, police said. Troopers responded to the crash in the eastbound lanes at milepost 37.6 in Rockaway Township around 8:15 a.m., Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Minor injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.

Two Crashes Block Lanes Of GWB, Injuries Reported
Two separate crashes jammed lanes of the George Washington Bridge during Wednesday morning's commute Aug. 21, the NJDOT site said. One crash was reported in the lower level eastbound lanes around 8:40 a.m. Injuries were reported. The other happened on the upper level in Fort Lee. Both crashes took out two lanes, the NJDOT site says. This is a developing story.

Overturned Tractor Trailer Shuts All Lanes Of NJ Turnpike In Bergen County
All lanes of the NJ Turnpike were closed as of 10:55 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 due to a tractor trailer that overturned in Bergen County, the NJDOT site says. It happened around 10:40 p.m. in the express lanes on the northbound side, just south of Exit 71 for Broad Avenue in Leonia. All lanes were blocked as of press time.

Truck Driver Killed In Route 3 Explosion ID'd, 29 NJ Transit Passengers Escape Injury
Authorities have identified the truck driver killed in the crash and explosion earlier this week on Route 3 in Clifton. Luis Santiago, 55, of Linden, was operating the commercial truck that clipped an NJ Transit bus carrying 29 passengers in the eastbound lanes Monday morning, July 22, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi said. Santiago's truck then crashed into a barrier near Valley Road and Grove Street, causing the vehicle to erupt in flames. A Linden man was killed when his tractor-trailer crashed and exploded in Clifton, authorities said. The truck crashed into a barrier and caught fire on Route 3 West near Valley Road and Grove Street at around 9:07 a.m. on Monday, July 22, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes said in a news release. Route 4 has reopened more than 12 hours after a crash downed a pole and live wires in Teaneck, police said. Sometime after 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, a crash took down a pole in the westbound lanes near River Road, local police said. All lanes were closed with traffic getting by in one lane on the eastbound side, police said. At 9:30 p.m., Teaneck police announced the roadway had been reopened and all repairs had been made. A Florida man wanted in New Jersey, fleeing from Pennsylvania State Police in Jonestown has caused an "active police incident" on Interstate 81, Trooper Megan Frazer said on Thursday.
