Dad Killed In Morris County Crash Was Family's 'Biggest Champion'
A 52-year-old man killed in a three-car crash last month in Morris County is being remembered as his family's "biggest champion." Michael Pacchia, Jr., of Chatham, was a father of four and husband to his wife of 23 years, Cathie, according to his obituary. Pacchia was behind the wheel of a Jeep Wrangler going south on Shunpike Road in Chatham Township when he was struck by a Nissan Rogue heading west near the intersection of Lafayette Avenue around 11:30 a.m., on March 28, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Millburn High School Athlete Robbie Almgren III Dies, 17
Millburn High School senior athlete and lifelong Short Hills resident Robert "Robbie" Almgren III died on Dec. 27. The 17-year-old succumbed to the sudden effect of AML Leukemia, which began Christmas night, his obituary says. Robbie grew up playing lacrosse, football and basketball. A senior at Millburn High School, Robbie played for the Millers and the NJ Riot Club team, and was also a trumpet player. Robbie planned on playing lacrosse for the Union College Dutchmen next year. Chatham High School Graduate, Tri-Varsity Athlete Cory Heidaran Dies, 27
Former Jersey City and Chatham resident Cory C. Heidaran died Oct. 8. He was 27 years old. Heidaran was born in Rockville, Maryland and spent time in California and North Carolina before settling in Chatham, where he graduated high school in 2012, according to his obituary. Heidaran was known for his passion of sports and was an avid football, lacrosse and ice hockey player, making him a tri-varsity athlete, his obit says.
