Three young adults and one teen were arrested after being pulled over in a car with tools used to burglarize vehicles in Morris County, authorities said.
Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle on Shongum Road in Denville while responding to a report of a possible car burglary around 11:35 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, police said.

Heroin, 19 Illegal Firearms Seized Last Week In Newark
Police recovered 19 illegal firearms, loaded magazines, heroin and more from more than a dozen individuals in Newark in the last week, they said.
The recoveries — from June 28 to July 7 — mark a 30 percent increase over the same period last year, Interim Newark Public Safety Director Raul Malave said.

Hospital Patient In Gown Assaults Woman, Jumps Into Hudson River, Police Say
A hospital patient still in his gown tried robbing a 73-year-old woman before jumping into the Hudson River in an effort to flee from police, authorities said.
Jason Barone, 38, of Carlstadt, walked out of Jersey City Medical Center and tried hitting the woman with a wooden plank and grab her cell phone Saturday morning, City Spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.
Barone jumped into the river when police arrived, and swam to a barge where he was taken into custody, officials said.
