'Cause For Concern': State Police Looking To ID, Charge Drivers In Parkway Trump Parade
Authorities in New Jersey are working to identify and charge drivers who participated in Sunday's "Jews For Trump" caravan that backed up parts of the Garden State Parkway for miles, NJSP Col. Truck Rolls On GSP Ramp At Route 17
A large truck rolled over and blocked the exit ramp from the southbound Garden State Parkway to southbound Route 17 southbound in Paramus during the post-July 4th morning rush. The driver got out under his own steam before responders arrived and was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening. It was unclear whether summonses would be issued, given the truck size. Trucks with a gross weight over 10,000 pounds are prohibited from the Parkway north of Exit 105. The average fuel price in New Jersey has dropped eight cents in just one week, officials say. Car Rolls On Route 4 In Paramus
The occupants of a car that overturned Monday afternoon on westbound Route 4 in Paramus got themselves out, responders said. The Volkswagen rolled in front of 35 Plaza shopping center, which includes a Houlihan's, Starbucks and Roadrunner Sports, among other businesses. Paramus police, firefighters and EMS responded. Burning Wires Fall In Ramsey, Jam Area Traffic
Ramsey firefighters doused separate mini-blazes sparked Monday by downed utility lines blocks apart. Burning wires fell on Lake Street at Franklin Turnpike in front of Eastwick College and on Canterbury Drive, spreading to some brush. PSE&G shut down power to the area so that firefighters could extinguish the blazes. Authorities: Thief In Stolen Car Pursuit Rams Fort Lee Police Cruiser On GWB
A driver being chased by police rammed a Fort Lee patrol cruiser with a stolen car on the George Washington Bridge shortly before dawn Thursday, authorities said. Traffic crawled along the eastbound side of Route 80 late Tuesday morning -- hours after a two-truck crash that spilled fuel and debris across the highway in Parsippany. Gas Leak At Ramsey Dental Office Forces Evacuations, Jams Traffic
A gas leak at a Ramsey dentist's office forced the evacuations of adjacent businesses and residences while temporarily halting area traffic during the Wednesday evening rush. PSE&G controlled the leak at the intersection of East Main Street and Island Avenue but had to do repairs that will keep the eastbound lane of Main Street closed awhile, Police Chief Brian Gurney said. A fire that began just before 5 p.m. at a Fort Lee apartment complex continued to burn as of 8:25 p.m. Three volunteer firefighters sustained minor injuries working a Fort Lee apartment complex blaze Thursday evening, Mayor Mark Sokolich told NBC New York. Route 17 in Saddle River finally reopened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, more than 14 hours after utility lines fell across the roadway, closing it.
