Video footage has been released of a crash showing former Newark Mayor Sharpe James driving into the wrong lane of traffic and then speeding backward, hitting a pedestrian, another driver, and a bus stop somewhere along the way, authorities said. The state and U.S. flags were lowered over the Statehouse in Trenton Monday to honor Kenneth Gibson, who became the first black mayor of a major Northeastern city when he was elected in Newark in 1970.
