A 21-year-old ex-con from Paterson who’s already spent three years behind bars had been free all of four months when he shot someone, then shot someone else while police searched for him this week, authorities charged. : Armed Duo Sought In Overnight Gas Station Holdup Spree In Bergen, Passaic
Two bandits robbed multiple gas stations in Bergen and Passaic counties at gunpoint shortly before dawn on Sunday, responders said. The BP on eastbound Route 3 in Clifton was held up at 5 a.m. Jan. 7. One of the robbers had a handgun, the attendant told police. Less than 10 minutes later a similar gunpoint robbery occurred at the Shell station on northbound Route 3 off the corner of Malcolm Avenue. UPDATE: A Bronx man nicknamed "Shakes" admitted that he served as the lookout while two home invaders posing as NYPD detectives tied up and robbed a Fair Lawn family. Authorities are searching for the men who can be seen politely wiping their shoes as they enter New Jersey smoke shop then brawling with the clerk, robbing him of $2,000 in merchendise, police said. It happened Monday, Oct. 16 around 10:45 p.m. at the Smokey Bear Smoke Shop on 255 Main St., in Hackettstown.
