Flooding Leaves Hackensack Drivers Stranded HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Some drivers in Hackensack were stranded due to flooding. Stretches of River Street and spots along Commerce Way behind Staples were covered with nearly six inches of water, and it's only going to get worse. Employees of Retro Fitness Hackensack moved their cars to avoid further damage, and some members headed back inside the gym -- hoping to see the water go down before leaving.
