With indoor dining in New Jersey set to reopen July 2, many new restaurants have announced plans in Bergen County. So too, many others will be closing their doors. Longtime Kearny restaurant Argyle Fish & Chips has closed after nearly 40 years at its current location. The Kearny Avenue eatery, popularized for its Scottish fare closed on Dec. 28, after being sold to a non-Scottish restaurant (details to come). The Piper's Cove gift shop, however, will remain open. Another week of restaurant openings and closings in the books. Here's a look at what's here and what's not in Bergen and Passaic counties: CLOSED: Skuffy's Subs in Hawthorne. This 30-year-old sandwich shop posted "closed from now on" and "for rent" signs in the windows. No one was immediately available for comment when Daily Voice called Thursday.
