This Park & Ride Along Garden State Parkway Is Reopening With New Bus Schedule
After more than a year, the Park & Ride along the Garden State Parkway in Montvale, NJ is days away from reopening. Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali said the commuter area, which had been closed and temporarily relocated to Rockland County, NY due to renovations at the James Gandolfini Rest Area, will open on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The gas station and eateries in the service area are expected to reopen at a later date. 300-Year-Old NJ Restaurant Closing For Renovations
A New Jersey restaurant open for more than 300 years will temporarily close for renovations. The Black Horse Tavern & Pub, located on W. Main Street in Mendham, bills itself as the state's oldest continually running restaurant, dating back to 1742. Over the weekend, the eatery, which serves American classics, said it will be undergoing temporary closure for renovations. "Get ready for a brand-new kitchen and a fresh look!" the Facebook post reads. "We're excited to unveil these upgrades to you." Black Horse Tavern & Pub will hold a grand reopening in Fall 2024.

Charlie Wonsowicz has gone from Yankee pinstripes to pots and pans. Wonsowicz, who won five World Series titles with the New York Yankees as coordinator of advanced scouting, recently opened W's Village Grille with his wife, Leslie, in Waldwick. A new bar is coming to Hackensack, BoozyBurbs reports. Tavern 61 will be replacing Solari's on South River Street, the Italian restaurant that had been in business since the 1930s, the outlet first announced.
