One man was in custody and another at large in connection with an Elizabeth home invasion in which they bound the elderly resident and held her at gunpoint last month, authorities said Friday, April 1. The elderly victim had been restrained by Herby Desir, 34, of Rahway, and Emmanuel Rivera, 33, of Carteret, in the home on Summit and Colonia roads, but had been freed by a neighbor who found her and cut her loose, Daniel said alongside Elizabeth Police Director Earl J. Thanks to a citizen’s call, a Wayne police officer seized a car burglar who’d just swiped a laptop, authorities said. Officer Diego Ocampo was responding to a vehicle burglary call from Riverview Drive when he spotted Anthony Cole of Rahway on the lower end of Valley Road shortly after 11:30 p.m. Sunday, March 27, Detective Capt. A Trenton resident admitted driving the getaway car for a stickup man who robbed a string of convenience stores at gunpoint in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Omar Feliciano-Estremera, 44, took a deal from the government rather than go to trial after accused robber Gabriel Lopez died. An admitted drug dealer from Union County is headed to federal prison for 10 years. Tyrell "Hell Rell" Wilson, 36, of Rahway, must serve out just about all of the sentence because there's no parole in the federal prison system. Wilson was busted in September 2019 with ex-con Marvin "Black Jesus" Lagrier, 39, of Newark. Driver, 34, Killed In Fiery Garden State Parkway Crash
A 34-year-old North Jersey man was killed in a fiery crash on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, State Police said. Fabrice Deryce, of Scotch Plains, was heading south in a Chevy Impala when he struck multiple fixed objects around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in Tinton Falls, NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said. The vehicle then entered the grass median that separates the local and express lanes, and struck a concrete cantilever overhead sign support.
