Pickup Plows Into East Rutherford Restaurant
A pickup truck lived up to its name when it rammed through the wall of an East Rutherford restaurant as the dawn of the new year approached. The Dodge Ram went straight through the wall facing the parking lot of Al Di La, a restaurant and banquet hall on Hoboken Road between Paterson Avenue and Enoch Street, around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Head-On Crash In Glen Rock Sends Two To Hospital
An out-of-state driver and her passenger from Dumont were hospitalized following a head-on crash in Glen Rock, authorities said. A 2019 Jeep had just exited Saddle River County Park headed south when it swerved into the northbound lane of Prospect Street and struck a 2020 Honda Civic shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. Harrington Park Firefighters Make Quick Work Of House Blaze
Harrington Park firefighters quickly doused a house blaze Sunday afternoon. No injuries were reported in the two-alarm fire, which broke out in the attic of the two-story wood-frame home on Bogerts Mill Road around 1 p.m., firefighters said. No injuries were reported. A Teaneck driver was unconscious but breathing after her SUV slammed into a utility pole and overpass on Route 4 late Thursday, responders said. The driver, 39, was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center after her Volvo crashed on the eastbound overpass at Teaneck Road shortly before 10:30 p.m., Bergen County Sheriff's Public Information Officer Keisha McLean said. Flames blew through the roof of a Burger King off Route 17 in Mahwah Thursday night. No injuries were reported in the two-alarm blaze, which broke out in the eatery off the northbound highway around 7 p.m. "It was heavy, but it was knocked down quickly," one firefighter said. A drunk driver from Pennsylvania escaped serious injury when his sedan slammed into a utility pole off Route 46 in Bergen County, authorities said.
