Port Authority PD Clears Storm-Downed Trees From Edgewater GWB Access Road EDGEWATER, N.J. -- Local public works employees weren't the only ones clearing paths for motorists after the heavy, wet snowfall: The Port Authority Police Department's Emergency Services Unit kept busy, as well. The units Truck 7a removed two fallen trees from the Edgewater access road to the New Jersey base of the George Washington Bridge in the afternoon. They left the road clear, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.
