Ridgewood police said they responded to 152 Kenilworth Road on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 1:45 p.m. for a report of an adult male who had fallen. The victim’s brother, Carlos Solis, identified him to Daily Voice as Heriberto Solís Fallas, 40, of Irvington. A painting contractor was seriously injured after falling from a roof in Ridgewood on Monday afternoon, Aug. 11, authorities said. Police responded to 152 Kenilworth Road at 1:45 p.m. for a report of an adult male who had fallen, Ridgewood Police said. The man had been working on the roof when he fell approximately two stories, according to police. A worker was hospitalized after falling from a ladder Tuesday morning, June 3 in Hackensack, police said. The incident happened just after 9 a.m. at 100 River St., where the worker fell 8 to 10 feet, Police Chief Michael Antista said. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, Antista said. A construction worker was hospitalized in Bergen County Tuesday morning, Jan. 14 in a worksite accident, police said. The worker, 56, was struck in the head by the bucket of an excavator while working at a construction site in the 1500 block of Valley Brook Avenue in Lyndhurst, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. A worker was hospitalized Thursday after he fell from the roof of a school in Franklin Lakes and landed on his head, authorities said. The 54-year-old West New York laborer with Safeway Contracting out of Union plunged 10 to 15 feet at the Franklin Avenue Middle School shortly after 2 p.m. July 27, Police Capt. Mark McCombs said. Firefighters rescued a 38-year-old man who fell down an elevator shaft Thursday, Feb. 2 in Somerset County, authorities said. Responders found the Watchung man stuck in a building on Mettlers Road around 2:30 p.m. in Franklin Township, township police Lt. Vincent T. Wilson said. The victim was removed but had suffered multiple injuries, and was taken to the hospital by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital BLS and ALS.
