Thanksgiving Crash Kills Former NJ Hockey Captain Gavin Barooah, 19
The victim killed in a Morris County crash on Thanksgiving Night, Nov. 28 has been identified as a 19-year-old former hockey player. Gavin Barooah, of Ledgewood, was behind the wheel of a Mercedes Benz when his vehicle collided with a Jeep around 8 p.m. at Morris and Sussex turnpikes in Randolph, according to Meghan Knab, a spokesperson for the county prosecutor's office. The driver of the Jeep was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Dad Killed In NJ Crash Was Driving Home From Work, Loved Ones Say
Support is on the rise for a New Jersey family after their patriarch was killed in a crash after work. Alex Folnagy, 31, of Somerset, was the sole occupant of the 2010 Nissan Altima that crashed head-on with a 2018 Jeep Wrangler just before 7:25 a.m. on Amwell Road near South Middlebush Road in Franklin Township, Franklin Township police said. Basketball Court Brawl Sends Boy To Hospital: Teaneck Police
A juvenile was hospitalized after being assaulted by two people at Votee Park in Teaneck on Tuesday, May 7, authorities said. At 8:18 p.m., police responded to several calls of a large fight in the area of Votee Park basketball courts, Teaneck police said. Officers found the juvenile lying on the ground in the basketball court area, police said. Fiery Accident Shuts Rt. 7 In Kearny
A section of Rt. 7 in Kearny was closed Wednesday morning because of a downed utility pole caused by a motor-vehicle crash hours earlier. The lanes were closed in both directions between Schuyler Avenue and Ridge Road, according to the DOT. A witness who saw the accident early this morning and other witnesses quoted in a published report said a woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Twenty-five children and eight adults were hospitalized with minor injuries Thursday afternoon after the school bus they were riding was rear-ended by an SUV in Englewood, authorities said. : Elderly Driver Hospitalized After Paramus Crash
PARAMUS, N.J. -- The elderly driver of an SUV was hospitalized with injuries that responders said weren't life-threatening after a Friday morning crash in Paramus. The other driver apparently wasn't injured. Both the Toyota SUV and Mercedes sedan involved in the crash at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Midland Avenue were removed by flatbed tow truck.
