Thomas G. Leaman of Millburn died July 15. He was 44 years old. He was born in Jersey City and was the son of Thomas and Patricia Leaman. A William Paterson University graduate, he earned an MBA from Centenary University and went on to work as a finance manager for NBC. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps and is remembered as a patriot who loved his country. Former Kinnelon Football Player Brian DeVeau, 28, Dead In California Car Crash
Former standout Kinnelon football player Brian DeVeau died in a California car accident June 23. He was 28 years old. Services were held last weekend at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home. Kinnelon Athletics in a Tweet remembered DeVeau as an "unbelievable young man who always represented Kinnelon and his family with grace and dignity." DeVeau served as quarterback, running back and defensive safety for the Colts, and was a member of the all-county team. Services Set For Oakland Woman, 38, Killed By Jeep
A funeral service for Nora Kohlash of Oakland is scheduled at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home in Pompton Lakes on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. Visitation will be at 7 p.m. that evening. Kohlash, 38, was struck and killed by a Jeep backing out of a driveway on Feb. 21. The Paterson native was home-schooled and lived in Oakland during her adult life.
