A Bergen County grade-school social studies teacher who was indefinitely suspended over assignments about Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany claims the district superintendent told him that he’d upset “Jewish people” in town and then ordered him to “fix” it. A New Jersey man living in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community in Israel has been accused of faking his religion to hide the fact that he is really a Christian missionary. A pair of newlyweds are putting a modern twist on the old-school Jewish deli. Sal and Jacqueline Yehudiel of Fort Lee, who tied the knot in August, will be opening Humble Toast on Queen Anne Road Oct. 22.
