Shots Fired At Busy Garfield Intersection, Prosecutor Says Several shots were fired at a busy Garfield intersection Tuesday morning, Sept. 2, authorities said. At approximately 9:07 a.m., the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Garfield Police Department began investigating a shooting at Palisades Avenue and Somerset Street, Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer said in a release.
