ALERT: Glen Rock PD Seeks Help Finding Hit-Run Driver
SEE ANYTHING? Glen Rock police turned to the public for help finding a driver who took off after his vehicle shattered a utility pole. The pole on Maple Avenue in front of Wilde Park was snapped in half in the 11:30 p.m. crash Friday, Lt. Frank Riggio said. The vehicle continued north on Maple Avenue, he said. Apparent Medical Episode Precedes Crash Into Glen Rock Home
The results of a medical exam will determine whether summonses are in store for a Glen Rock driver whose car barreled across a sidewalk and lawn and into another borough resident’s house, authorities said. The crash occurred on Lincoln Avenue, directly across from Van Winkle Avenue, after the 62-year-old driver appeared to suffer some type of medical emergency just after 11 a.m. Sunday, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. Glen Rock police were trying to identify a liquor store customer who dropped his pants and did his business in an aisle after he was told the bathroom was closed because of coronavirus restrictions. Glen Rock PD Nabs Paterson Hit-Run Driver Who Injured Hillsdale Motorist
Glen Rock police tracked down an unlicensed hit-and-run driver from Paterson who they said injured a 20-year-old Hillsdale motorist. The victim was stopped in traffic on Grove Street near Prospect Street last week when a vehicle driven by Samone T. Wade, 30, rear-ended him, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. Wade took off before responding officers arrived, but by then the victim had collected information about her vehicle, Ackermann said. A driver escaped serious injury after her SUV overturned Wednesday morning in Glen Rock. Glen Rock busted three accused drug dealers from Passaic County after staking them out -- online. Officer Samuel Evans arrested the trio when they showed up Thursday night in a parking lot near the Rock Road central business district after arranging a deal on social media, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
