Poll Sheds Light On Public's Reaction To Trump's $300M White House Ballroom
Most Americans oppose President Donald Trump's decision to demolish the White House's East Wing to build a $300 million ballroom funded by private donations, according to a new poll. The ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll found that 56% of US adults oppose the demolition project, including 45% who said they "strongly" oppose it. The poll was released on Thursday, Oct. 30, about 10 days after demolition began. Just 28% support the move, with 15% expressing strong support. Rooftop Bar, Amphitheater Among Renovations To 150+ Year North Jersey Hotel
The historic Grand Summit Hotel is getting a facelift. The Summit institution, which has existed since 1868 at 570 Springfield Ave., is undergoing a renovation by Landmark Hospitality with an expected opening in the 2024 season, as "The Albion Summit." The hotel will downsize from 150 rooms to 100, and offer a restaurant, a lounge and a co-op working space after the first phase of renovations are done, which is expected to take eight months.
