Sticky-Fingered Traveler Prompts Warning In Bergen
A traveler from out of state wrought some havoc in the Pascack Valley before moving on, authorities said.
Mircea Catalin Petrovici, 26, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is wanted by several North Jersey police departments, including those in Hillsdale and Emerson, as well as in nearby Closter and in South Plainfield.
A wallet that a customer left in a cart at the Shop Rite in Hillsdale disappeared along with multiple credit cards, ID and cash, Police Chief Sean Smith said.

Christian Mazzariello, Bergen County Native, Dies At 20 Years Old
Christian Mazzariello, a native of Emerson, died on Thursday, Feb. 8 at the age of 20, after battling a brief illness according to his obituary.
Mazzariello was a student (Class of 2025) at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, majoring in computer science at the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, the university announced in a statement.
"Christian was a bright light in the university and engineering communities," Ricardo Hall, Vice President for Student Affairs at Leigh said. "He will be deeply missed."

Teterboro Airport Noise Persists: Newly-Formed Group Pushes FAA For Alternate Flight Path
Residents who live near Teterboro Airport have had enough with the noise.
More than 840 people in the Pascack Valley region, who have formed the group Taxpayers for Airport Noise Solutions, have signed a petition requesting the FAA to change the flight plans for flights into Teterboro Airport Runway 19, by having them fly over Route 17.

Three lotto players in North Jersey won some massive moolah in the Mega Millions drawing held on Tuesday, August 22.
Two tickets sold in Passaic County and a ticket sold in Bergen County matched four of the white balls and the Golden Mega Ball, winning $10,000. Two of the tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $20,000.
