A Bergen County judge has reinstated a petition to recall Park Ridge Board of Education member Robert Fisher Jr. after it was previously rejected over a notary dispute, Daily Voice has learned.
Fisher, who joined the board in January 2023 just months after graduating high school, was the subject of a recall effort that gathered 2,141 signatures — more than the 1,864 required, according to the Bergen County Clerk’s Office.

Rutgers Poll: Sherrill Maintains Lead Over Ciattarelli In NJ Gov Race
Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-N.J., has a nine point lead over Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli in the race to be New Jersey's next governor according to a Rutgers-Eagleton poll published Thursday, Aug. 21.
Sherrill leads Ciattarelli 44% to 35%, with 17% of voters undecided according to the poll. Independents back Sherrill by a slim margin, 33% to 32% with 29% undecided, according to a poll.
The candidates are running to replace Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy, who is term limited.

Son Of Bergen County Executive Charged With Impersonating Police Officer In Florida
The son of Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco was arrested on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer on Route 95 in Florida, authorities said.
James J. Tedesco IV, 43, of Nanuet had an NYPD jacket and DEA hat with him, as well as two AR-15 rifles, 1,139 rounds of ammo and a bag loaded with gas mask equipment and suits, when he was stopped on the southbound interstate in Vero Beach shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said.
He was arrested, processed and sent to the county jail about 2½ hours later, records show.
