Once Slated For Closure, Route 17 Diner Set For Major Renovation, New Owner Says An iconic Route 17 diner that sat dark for months after a health department closure is getting new life. On Nov. 2, Peter Meskouris announced that he'd purchased the Bendix Diner in Hasbrouck Heights in a Facebook post shared in the Dinerville group. He says renovations are already underway. Meskouris and his family own Jackson Hole, a diner with locations in Englewood and New York City.
