A man suffering a medical episode has fast-acting Morris County police officers to thank for saving his life with CPR. Morris Plains Officer Nicholas Grawehr flagged down Morris Township Officer Saul Gutierrez when he noticed an unresponsive driver with his car pulled up onto the sidewalk on East Hanover Avenue around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, Morris Township police said. HEROES: A 62-year-old warehouse manager at Mahwah's Center for Food Action site was in full cardiac arrest when a group of township police officers responded last July. A group of Port Authority police officers brought an unresponsive man back to life at Newark Airport. The 73-year-old victim's pulse had stopped when a TSA agent alerts Sgt. Anthony Giordano and Officers Steve Collegio, Jorge Fujita, Kyle Cherrick, Evangelos Mageros and Michael Raccioppi at a Terminal C checkpoint around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Port Authority Spokeswoman Lenis Rodrigues said. A 71-year-old woman suffering breathing problems died on a Newark-bound flight from Frankfurt, reports say. United Airlines crew members administered oxygen and used a defibrillator on the woman, with several people taking turns doing CPR for nearly 40 minutes last Wednesday, passenger Adam Lisberg told the Irish Sun. The plane made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport in Ireland, where the woman was met by emergency medical crews, Fox News reports. The woman was pronounced dead after the flight landed. It was not clear where she was from.

A trio of Waldwick police officers revived a heroin-carrying driver who passed out from an overdose behind the wheel of a van stopped at an intersection, authorities said Saturday. Sgt. A group of New Milford police officers rescued a 51-year-old borough woman who’d overdosed in her locked SUV. An officer broke the window so he and his colleagues could get to the victim in a rear River Road parking lot late Friday afternoon, Detective Lt. Kevin Van Saders said.
