Lyft Offering Free Rides To Cooling Centers In Hackensack, Other Cities Ride-share company Lyft is offering free transportation to cooling centers in a number of cities through Sunday during a weekend heat wave when temperatures may hit 100 degrees or more combined with high humidity.  In New Jersey,  anyone wishing to access the free rides can use code NJCOOL19. Bergen County Cooling Centers Are Open: Here's Where They're Located Several cooling centers in Bergen County were opened by County Executive James Tedesco Monday afternoon to help residents stay cool this week.
