It looks like New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, an Essex County resident, will have to focus on his day job this fall. According to NBC News, Rodgers will not be Robert F. Kennedy Jr's running mate in the 2024 presidential election. Kennedy, who is running as an independent, is picking Nicole Shanahan, a Bay Area based attorney. 2 Rescued, More Missing In Baltimore's Key Bridge Collapse (

A large-scale search and rescue effort was under way Tuesday morning, March 26 in Baltimore following the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. Multiple cars were sent into the water below, bringing the Coast Guard and emergency response teams to the scene along Interstate 695 at approximately 1:30 a.m., when a cargo ship struck a portion of the bridge. Two people had been rescued as of 10:20 a.m., according to the Washington Post. At least six other construction workers remain unaccounted for, and another hospitalized, the news agency said. Aaron Rodgers, who lives in Essex County, is denying a CNN report that he believed the children killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre were actors. New Jersey's Kevin Spacey has been charged with four counts of sexual assault against three men in the United Kingdom, authorities said. The charges were handed down to the 62-year-old South Orange native on Thursday, May 26, according to a release from the London Metropolitan Police Department.
